A JOYFUL CELEBRATION FOR WOMEN FROM AROUND THE WORLD

Ann Turner writes from Antwerp, Belgium.

“What unites 12 women of 9 different nationalities at St Boniface, Antwerp? Maybe the photo will be the giveaway where along with the ladies and the chaplain at St Boniface, Canon Andrew Wagstaff, you can spot Toni Chandler on the back row.

“Toni, who is diocesan president of the Mothers' Union, travelled to Belgium from her home in the Vendeé in France to inaugurate a new branch of the Mothers' Union at St Boniface. It was a moment the ladies had been working towards for almost two years and as you can see from their smiles they were delighted to have now become an official MU affiliate.

“They affirmed their commitment to commend family life and to work both within St Boniface and further afield to support those who need help. Their president, Stellah Kakura, already works tirelessly to support a project for the elderly in her home country of Uganda.

“Please remember this group, their work and that of the Mothers' Union worldwide in your prayers.”
