The group of congregations from the Diocese in Europe along the French Riviera celebrated the Feast of Christ the King on Sunday 20 November with a united service at Saint Paul’s Monaco. The evening began with a church service “Through the Christian Year: A Festival of Lessons & Hymns for the Feast of Christ the King” with representatives from the 8 chaplaincies (Menton, Monaco, Beaulieu-sur-mer, Nice, Cannes, Saint Raphael, Orgues and Marseille) participating. At the end of this service, Ven Meurig Williams was welcomed by the ACR (Anglican Chaplaincies on the Riviera) community as the new Archdeacon of France. The representatives of the churches in this southern part of France then enjoyed a veritable banquet for 60 people in the church hall, catered by generous members of the Monaco community.
