LUGANO MAKES MUSIC FOR THE BISHOP'S LENT APPEAL

As the final donations are being received for Bishop Robert’s 2017 Lent Appeal more reports of innovative fund raising are also coming in. On Palm Sunday in Switzerland, St Edward’s Church, Lugano staged a fine chamber music concert in a delightful villa overlooking the lake, home to one of the church’s stalwart parishioners, Lugano-based Ensemble Arcobaleno performed works from the classical, romantic and contemporary repertoires. The concert raised over CHF 1,500 towards a final St Edward’s total of £1,517, all of which go to the Menedékhaz Foundation in Budapest.
