NEW ENVIRONMENT OFFICER APPOINTED

We welcome Rev Elizabeth Bussmann to her new role as Diocesan Environment Officer in succession to Mrs Madeleine Holmes who retired in December 2014.

Bishop Robert writes; “Elizabeth lives in Switzerland, where she is attached to the chaplaincy of Vevey with Chateau d’Oex. She has a longstanding interest in the Environment and has written on the theology of the environment at master’s level. She is a member of ‘Christian Ecology Link’ and follows the work of A Rocha and other environmental groups. She brings, she says ‘an informed, passionate enthusiasm for the whole subject’.”

He commends Elizabeth’s excitement about the role, her sense of realism about what it entails, and her commitment to the practicalities of building networks and sharing information and resources.
