Good reception for TV series
“Parish in the Sun”

The first episode of an ITV series “A Parish in the Sun” has been welcomed for the insight it gives into Anglican church life in the Diocese in Europe. The 8 part series began on Sunday 30th October on ITV1 and showed the challenge of the Reverend Robert Ellis taking three weddings in different parts of the island of Majorca in a single afternoon. It also showed how an ex-pat community celebrated VE day in their parish hall. After the broadcast, Robert, himself a skilled media man, said he had received a number of encouraging phone calls and emails. Next week’s episode will show him taking part in broadcasts on local radio in Majorca.
