Bishop’s Lent Appeal 2009 – Count your blessings
It's easier to give something up for Lent if you've got something to start with. Far too many people in the world don't even have life's necessities. Count your blessings through Lent – and help in the fight against global poverty. Please respond every day by making a donation to the work of Christian Aid, supporting people who don’t have the things we often take for granted. Make Lent count this year; through the money you give, the prayers you offer and the actions you take.
Our gifts will be used to help vulnerable children in South Africa, including those affected by HIV, such as Nomfundo (above), left to care for her brothers and sisters when their parents died of HIV-related illnesses.
