DIOCESAN DELEGATES AT MODERN SLAVERY CONFERENCE

During a visit to Lambeth Palace some months ago, the Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew extended an invitation for a joint Anglican/Orthodox conference on modern day slavery to be hosted by the Patriarchate in Istanbul (historic Constantinople). The Diocese in Europe was honoured to receive two invitations to take part in this conference.

LET HIS LIGHT SHINE IN “LA LUZ”

It was fitting that Sunday 4th September was a gloriously hot and sunny day in the Algarve, in the south-west of Portugal, when St Vincent’s Anglican Chaplaincy in Praia da Luz, shared a service with their Roman Catholic hosts in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Luz for the annual patronal Festival of Nossa Senhora da Luz (Our Lady of Light).
