ECUMENISM FLOWERS IN FLORENCE

On 12th March 2017 the choir of St Mark’s Church in Florence, Italy, sang choral evensong in the Battistero di San Giovanni in the Piazza del Duomo. It was the first time a purely Anglican Liturgy has been celebrated in the ancient Baptistery and it coincides with the same unprecedented service at St Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City tomorrow, led by the choir of Merton College Oxford.

MALTA CATHEDRAL APPEAL GETS AN ECUMENICAL BOOST

A newly launched appeal for €3m (£2.6m) to restore St Paul's Anglican Pro-Cathedral in Valetta, Malta has got off to an encouraging start. In a heartening development Malta’s TV news reports that the Roman Catholic Bishop of Gozo and as an act of unity he pledged a Sunday congregation’s collection from his own Cathedral to boost the Anglican appeal.
