Second Day Of Christmas – It’s A Rap And More

Three churches have made the headlines on St Steven’s Day with their seasonal stories and pictures. In the French city of Bordeaux they pulled a perfectly formed giant Christmas cracker to spread the nativity news

Two highlights at St Luke’s Fontainebleau near Paris were their Nativity “rap” as well as the more traditional carol service which were both well attended with over 100 at each.

The congregation is glad to be back in their permanent meeting place in the chapel of the Lycée St Aspais in Fontainebleau after quite a few months meeting in a large classroom . The chapel has been refurbished and St Luke’s contributed to the refurbishment cost as big thank you to the school for letting them use the chapel over the past 20 years.

And wherever we are in Europe at Christmas we like to wear our best clothes – in St Alban’s Church, Copenhagen in Denmark their Norwegian born organist was proud to “go native” for leading the carol singing.
