Fourth Day – Why Are We Waiting?

A radio presenter in Britain was musing yesterday about the “in between” days of December 25th and January 1st – “What do we call this period?” he asked. The correct answer is CHRISTMAS which is today (Monday 28 December 2015) in its fourth day.

These pictures (above and below) from St Boniface Antwerp remind us that the festival continues to January 6th when we mark the arrival of the Magi (commonly called the 3 kings) In Antwerp on Christmas Day the traditional crib scene was hallowed by the arrival of the baby Jesus and now we wait for the 3 kings.

The second picture reveals them en-route in St Boniface, high on a ledge overlooking the church interior.
