Two Newcomers Join The Safeguarding Team

Adrian Mumford, Diocesan Secretary, reports that as part of our continuing work in strengthening our safeguarding resources and making our churches safe places two new team members joined the staff in Diocesan Office on Tuesday 23 February.

Tola Akinde-Hummel is the Assistant Safeguarding Manager. She comes from a safeguarding career, having worked mainly in Ofsted. She will be working on a half-time basis.

Mark Gregory, who graduated last year in Theology from Durham University, is the new full time Safeguarding Administrator (building on work done by Katherine Harris who has been working on a long term temporary contract.) Katherine leaves shortly with the good wishes of all diocesan staff.

Adrian says of the two newcomers; “I think they are both going to be fantastic members of the team.”
