Ecumenical Links In Madrid

Rev Paul Ormord writes from St. George's Madrid about two ecumenical celebrations at the beginning of May. Fr Paul was privileged to be invited to preach (in Spanish!) at the Spanish Episcopal Reformed Cathedral (pictured below)

Another joyful occasion (picture above) was when St George’s hosted the Serbian Orthodox congregation who were using our church for their Easter liturgy which began at 9.30pm and continued until midnight.  Earlier the same evening there was a service held by the Filipino Charismatic Episcopal Church which has been based at St. George's for a number of years.  The church has also recently become the Madrid home for a Spanish speaking Lutheran congregation.

Ecumenism in action in the Spanish capital!
