Synodical Sessions Start In Cologne

The annual Diocesan Synod has begun in Cologne (Monday 13 June) with a Eucharist presided over by Bishop Robert. Worship is the cement in the bricks of the Synod’s work so regular worship each day in the chapel at Kardinal Schulte Haus is linked with Bible study and informal fellowship as well as some of the bigger – and occasionally contentious – issues Synod has to deal with. The picture below shows unity in action through sharing the peace during Communion.

The formal sessions begin this evening (Monday) before three full days of a busy agenda.
