Bishop Warns Of Challenges Facing Our Church

In his opening Presidential Address to Diocesan Synod meeting in Cologne this week Bishop Robert spoke about the rising tide of nationalism across Europe, including the sentiments expressed in the EU Referendum debate.

He said that the Church of England projections suggest that by 2030 our attendance figures will have shrunk from 1 million per week to 300,000 making us a minority church.

The Renewal and Reform plans offer financial and practical help to churches including our own and these will feature in items on our agenda.
