CELEBRATE CREATION TIDE

The webmaster is on holiday for a few days in the north of England, on the Trent and Mersey Canal - Expect a surge of your news updates from Saturday 10th September on his return.

Whether in the English countryside or the many different climates and countries of our vast Diocese in Europe we hope you are taking time to celebrate Creation-Tide.

Thank God for his wondrous beauty in creation and commit yourself, with all of us, to preserve its riches and to share them as best we can.

The Environment section of our website https://europe.anglican.org/environment/environment is packed with news and ideas to focus on this special time of year.

Whatever your church is doing to mark the season please send us your news and pictures to paul.needle@churchofengland.org

If you are still stuck for inspiration and ideas try https://www.churchofengland.org/media-centre/news/2016/08/church-of-england-commends-creationtide-resources.aspx

Let us give thanks to God, the God of all peoples of the earth.
For the colour and forms of your creation and our place within it,
we bring our thanks, good Lord: your mercy endures for ever.

For our daily food,and for those whose work and skill bring your good gifts to us,we bring our thanks, good Lord: your mercy endures for ever.

For the gifts and graces inspired in human minds and hearts;for insight and imagination,
for the skills of research which bring healing and fulfilment to the lives of many;
we bring our thanks, good Lord:your mercy endures for ever.

For the light and shades of the changing seasons,and their variety and dependability;
for new life and growth out of barrenness and decay;we bring our thanks, good Lord:
your mercy endures for ever.

For all in whose lives we see goodness, kindness, gentleness, patience and humility,
and all the fruit of the Spirit, we bring our thanks, good Lord: your mercy endures for ever.

For the life we have been given, and for all those whom you have given us to share it,
we bring our thanks, good Lord:your mercy endures for ever
