Members of Diocesan Synod have been shown the results of a day-long conversations in the wake of General Synod's debate on human sexuality and shared conversations looking to the future.

On the final afternoon of Synod in Cologne, General Synod member David Coulston explained how the Archbishops had asked every diocese to consider some of the issues and to report to individual bishops about their views.

The three clerical and three lay representatives of General Synod for the Diocese in Europe had spent a day looking closely at the questions asked. From there they have advised Bishop Robert who will, in turn include their response in his reply to the Archbishops.

Our Synod members are keen to stress that their response is more a "testing the waters" and is by no means a formal response about what people in the Diocese in Europe think about these issues.
