Archdeacon Geoff Johnston reports on a pre-Christmas activity in the Chaplaincy of Costa Almeria and Costa Calidas, in Southern Spain where, in conjunction with their local town hall, church members have been taking parcels of food to people in need in their area.

They say; “We are so fortunate to have been given our lovely church building. The Town Hall have been very supportive of all we do and there is a lot of community involvement within Llanos and Zurgena. It is a real joy for us to give something back. Christmas parcels contain lots of Christmas goodies and luxury items as well as essentials. We have sent 23 bags to meet the needs of Zurgena's poorest families. They asked for 20. During the year, we give monthly donations for up to 16 families at a time."
