Poppy Display Ypres

Got creative skills? Can you supply a poppy? St George's Memorial Church in Ypres is looking to decorate the church with this emblem of remembrance and create a suitable work of art to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War and honour the fallen.

Details of how to make a poppy, including various patterns, and instructions for postage are available of St George's website here.

Poppies should arrive at St George's by 11th October 2018.

You can download, print off and share the Display Poster below here (The file is over 3Mb).

If your chaplaincy is planning to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, this is a significant way in which individuals and a whole community can support efforts to commemorate this most devastating conflict, whose causes and consequences have cast such a long shadow over Europe.
