A Very Nice Thanksgiving

Bishop Geoffrey joined the congregation of Holy Trinity, Nice, in the South of France for a weekend of celebrations for the newly restored building. Two civic representatives joined the main ceremony underlining the firm links between our Anglican, mainly English speaking, churches and the local communities which we serve.

Bishop Geoffrey comments: “The city and the region have given very generously, and the workmanship is superb. The carved heads around the windows are particularly fine. The city is paying for the floodlighting of the church. The cemetery (where Henry Francis Lyte, author of ‘Abide with me’  is buried, has also been marvellously renovated.”
