Annual Brussels Ecumenical Service At Pro-cathedral

Canon Jack McDonald writes:- “The annual ecumenical service of Brussels churches to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity tours Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and Anglican churches – and it was the Anglicans' turn this year - and is prepared by the Comité Interecclésial de Bruxelles. The Anglican Church was represented by Canons Robert Innes, Gary Wilton and Jack McDonald of Holy Trinity, the Catholic Church by Mgr Giacinto Berloco, papal nuncio in Belgium and by Mgr Jean Kockerols, auxiliary bishop of Maline-Bruxelles, the Orthodox Church by Bishop Athenagoras of Sinope, the Protestant Churches by Pasteur Steven Fuite, president of the Eglise protestante unie de Belgique, and the Oriental Orthodox Churches by Père Zadik Avedikian of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The sermon was preached by Père Evangelos Psallas of the Greek Orthodox Church. The service - an Anglican choral evensong in French, Dutch, English and German - was followed by a fine reception at Holy Trinity."
