Week Of Unity In France

David Phillips reports from France on the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

"Clergy from the Lutheran Reformed Church in Perpignan, Free Evangelical; Baptist; and Catholic Churches in the South of France shared in a service and celebration to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

"We met in a town near Vernet-Les-Bains, which is where St. George's is situated. We are meeting in the moment at the local Catholic Chapelle so we have close links with them and were invited to this event.
Along with some of the sixty or so people who attended the service are pictured - the local Catholic Priest, Pere Jean-Baptiste Malarach, and the Lutheran Pastor Nicola Konzi-Meresse. Nicola is German but speaks perfect French, she has 600 on her electoral role with an average of 150 at each Sunday service. The Germans and Dutch love this area and come in their droves in the summer. That gives the British Church an example to aspire to."
