Athens Christians Help A New School Project

The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece has recently opened a kindergarten school for the children living in a very impoverished area. This is part of his much wider programme in response to the financial crisis that is afflicting the people of Greece.

The Anglican Chaplaincy in Athens has been able to channel  8,544.00 Euros to this project to help with the provision of equipment. This is one of several ways that the Chaplaincy is working with the Greek Orthodox Church.

It is hoped that a twinning might be made with a similar Church Kindergarten in the UK through which expertise and experience can be shared.
