Week Of Prayer For Unity Across Europe

Thank you for sending us your stories about what is happening in your church in the Diocese during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. From Yerevan, the capital and largest city of Armenia, which is said to be one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities Rev John  Barker reports:-

“We are doing our best to fly the Unity flag here in Yerevan. We were not able to persuade any of the other denominations to make official joint services during the Week of Prayer, so instead we opened up our regular worship yesterday evening (Sunday 19 January 2014), making it especially open to all irrespective of denomination. We had representatives of at least five different churches, if not more, and we included in our prayers all of the denominations that are represented in Armenia. Next year hopefully we will be able to develop this grass roots initiative further.”
