People At Work

Most Synods in the 42 dioceses of the Church of England meet for short periods several times a year but in the Diocese in Europe the five day residential annual meeting in Cologne makes time for informal fellowship, shared worship and prayer and for consideration of issues affecting our mission and ministry.
On Wednesday 4 June 2014 Canon Dr Grace Davie explained detailed studies in Europe about religion and welfare. Canon Dr Robin Gill spoke about bioethis and faith in Europe, using his experience as a member of medical ethics committees.
The Most reverend Sir David Moxon then explained the outcome of a study on The Bible in the life of the Church and explained the research. You can hear his address here















The Synod setting in Kardinal Schulte Haus near Cologne offered a visual reminder of the work in hand as a workforce is busy renovating parts of the building and modernising it.
