The Neighbours Drop In On Athens

Canon Malcolm Bradshaw from the Chaplaincy of Greater Athens, writes:

“On 6th June, Bishop Nathaniel M. Uematsu, Primate of the Anglican Church in Japan, celebrated the Eucharist in St Paul’s, Athens.

“He did so on behalf of thirty four pilgrims from Japan. They had joined him on a seven day pilgrimage to the archaeological sites in Greece associated with St Paul.

“The fact that these visitors are our ‘neighbours’ in respect to Dioceses took a little adjusting to but great fun. We experienced a good rendering of ‘Abide in me’ in Japanese. This year St Paul’s has been used by pilgrim groups from Hong Kong, Sweden and Britain.”
