Brussels Signing Step Forward For Justice

Canon John Wilkinson writes; A double celebration of 25 years of advocacy and the launch of a new name was held in Brussels on Tuesday 5 May when the EU advocacy group APRODEV (the Association of World Council of Churches related Development Organisations in Europe) officially integrated with the global humanitarian and development network ACT Alliance.

Two members of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Brussels are involved in this Christian faith-based NGO; Floris Faber, who is the director, and Susie Wilkinson who is the Office Manager.  David Fieldsend, represented Bishop Robert at the launch and John Wilkinson (Associate Chaplain) and Raj Singh (Churchwarden of Holy Trinity) were also in attendance

Over half of the world’s development aid comes from the European Union and its member countries. This makes the EU collectively the world’s largest donor.   ACT Alliance EU’s main purpose is to promote justice and peace and the eradication of poverty by influencing European Union decision-making processes as they affect developing countries.
