Antwerp’s Hidden Jewel Attracts Over 500 Visitors

Sunday, 12 September, was Open Monument Day in Antwerp and Flanders. St Boniface Church was classified as a monument some 10 years ago and yesterday participated in the open day: we were listed as a hidden jewel.

Almost 500 people came to discover our treasures and were amazed at what stands behind a rather plain street view. Our stained-glass windows and glass mosaics were among the star attractions and our group of six guides, who gave tours of the church every half hour between 12 and 18:00, explained these in detail.

A spokesperson from St Boniface’s says “We hope that our hidden gems will continue to delight for many years to come!”
