Bienvenue - Welcome! to Christ Church in la Manche

We are a Chaplaincy of the Church of England Diocese in Europe, serving primarily the west side of the Cotentin Peninsula, in Normandy, France.The Church of England is part of the Anglican Communion, an informal family of self-governing national Churches reflecting many cultures and languages. Anglican congregations can be found in nearly every country in the world.

As an Anglican Church in this part of France we offer a warm welcome and Christian ministry to English-speaking Christians from all denominations. Worship is in a broad-based Anglican style and mostly in English, with ministry available in French as needed. Thanks to the hospitality of the Bishop and Diocese of Coutances and Avranches, and of the local communes, we normally worship weekly in the village church at Gratot: Homméel (in the hamlet of Hommeel, on the edge of Gratot, near Coutances), and in the Crypt Chapel of the Village du Mont Carmel, at Avranches.
