Confirmation at St George's Malaga
Bishop David visited St George’s Malaga on Wednesday 9th May to confirm 3 adults and 4 children at an inspirational service.
St George’s is the oldest Anglican church in mainland Spain, and over the years all the other chaplaincies along the Costa del Sol, from Estepona to Nerja, have grown out of St George’s.
It is a vibrant, multicultural congregation with members from Britain, the U.S., Nigeria, Canada, Spain and many other countries, welcoming many tourists as Malaga grows in popularity as a tourist and cruise ship destination.
The confirmation service was held in the chapel of St George’s, which is located in the grounds of the historic English Cemetery. It was attended by local clergy and members of the congregation of St George’s Malaga and Velez Malaga. A selection of photos from the day are below:
