It is with great sadness that we announce the death of the Revd Ron Corne, the Chaplain of All Saints, Tenerife North. Fr Ron died on Tuesday afternoon following an illness which became gradually more serious in the past month. Ron returned from Tenerife to the UK last week, to receive medical care there, where he would be closer to one of his sons and his daughter.  During his last few days all of his family, living in different parts of the world, were able to gather at his bedside and were with him when he died.

Fr Ron turned 70 last year. Before he came to this diocese in 2017, he had a distinguished ministry in the Diocese of Winchester.

Bishop David said “The Chaplaincy has lost a beloved priest who will be sorely missed by parishioners and by colleagues in the Canary Islands and the Archdeaconry of Gibraltar.”

May the Lord in his kindness grant him eternal rest.
