Takeover Tuesdays – Show us what you can do on Twitter!
Inspired by the excitement of sharing stories, ideas, and perspectives across our wide-reaching diocese, we are launching ‘Takeover Tuesdays’ on our Twitter account.
The idea is simple: every other Tuesday, a different chaplaincy will take over our Twitter account for the day. It will be up to them to decide what to post. This is an opportunity for chaplaincies to share an insight into their daily life and contexts. We will start with a trial – a six-week pilot until the middle of December. If the campaign is a success, it will be launched full-time in the new year.
“I am really excited about this,” says Diocesan Digital Communications Officer, Amber Jackson, who is behind the idea. “It will be a great way to get to know some of our chaplaincies and share stories and experiences. And if anyone is interested but not sure what is involved, they can contact me for further information and, if necessary, some training.”
The first takeover is next Tuesday, when Fr Louis Darrant of St George’s Church, Malaga, will take the Twitter reins for the day.
St George’s has a vibrant, multi-cultural congregation with members from all across the world and also welcomes many tourists through its doors. Visitors often comment on the warmth of their welcome.
Join Louis on Twitter, Tuesday 25 October, to find out more about his work and what is happening in the chaplaincy in Malaga.
