Our Bishops

 

The Rt Revd Dr Robert Innes is formally known as the Bishop of Gibraltar in Europe – usually shortened to the Bishop in Europe. Consecrated in July 2014, he is the chief pastor of the diocese and provides episcopal oversight. He is based in Brussels. Read more about Bishop Robert here.

 

The Rt Reverend David Hamid is our suffragan bishop. He was consecrated in October 2002, making him the longest-serving bishop in the Church of England. He is based at our London office. Read more about Bishop David here.

 

Our Archdeacons

 

The diocese is divided into seven administrative regions, or archdeaconries. Each is overseen by an archdeacon on behalf of the bishop. We have four archdeacons – some have responsibility for more than one archdeaconry. They are:
