The results of the elections to the Diocesan Synod have been declared. The published lists of the members elected for the period 2021-24 are attached.
The vacancies indicated will be filled at elections to be arranged with the relevant archdeaconry synods.

Important update: We have received a number of comments and representations regarding exceptional difficulties with postal systems in various parts of the Diocese. In response, the Bishop has taken steps to provide for the conduct of the current elections by email. Read the Bishop's instrument and explanatory note here.

Over the last few days we have received a number of comments and representations regarding exceptional difficulties with postal systems in various parts of the Diocese. In response, the Bishop has taken steps to provide for the conduct of the current elections by email. I attach a copy of the instrument made by the Bishop. Please read the instrument and the explanatory note carefully. Do get in touch as soon as possible if you have any questions.
Electors can still request communication by post, and return completed nominations forms and voting papers by post, if they would prefer that.
The changes to the rules governing the elections apply to all valid nominations received by the deadline (i.e. including any nominations already submitted).
Please note that completed nomination papers and voting papers must be sent to the Presiding Officer at election@europe.anglican.org The use of any other email address will not be valid for this purpose.
As previously notified, the closing date for nominations is June 10th 2021 at 1600 BST.

It’s election time for Diocesan Synod.
Nominations open today for members who will serve for the next three year period of Diocesan Synod, starting in November 2021. Representatives from the House of Clergy and the House of Laity will be elected. Nomination papers have been sent to the electors, who are the members of Archdeaconry/Deanery Synods.
The Presiding Officer has posted a Notice of Election with the full details of nomination and election processes and timetables. The closing date for nominations is 10 June, and the election results will be published on 16 July.
