Over the summer, elections were held for the Diocesan Synod. Many positions were filled. The next stage of the process is that by-elections will now be held in some areas where positions are still to be filled.

By-elections will take place for five lay members in from France, two lay members from Gibraltar, one clergy member from France and one clergy member from Italy and Malta. 

Nominations must be received by 9am on Tuesday 26 November, and the closing date for the return of voting papers is noon GMT on Tuesday 17 December 2024.

The in person meeting of the Diocesan Synod in 2025 will be in Cologne from June 9 – June 12.
