Latest module of lay learning course starts soon
Module Two of the diocese’s lay learning course, ‘Walking Together in Faith’ gets underway next week (7.30pm CET/6.30pm UK time on Tuesday 17 January).
This module, ‘Growing in Christ’, will focus on what Christians have said about Jesus Christ – who he is and what is the significance of what he did. Future sessions take place on 31 January, 21 February, 7 March and 21 March.
Module Two builds on material covered in Module One. But if you are keen to do the course but missed out on Module One, it is still possible to get involved.
The course is being delivered using the Moodle platform. Participants need to register in order to have access to Moodle. To register, fill in the registration form and return it to the Diocesan Director of Lay Discipleship, Dr Clare Amos at clare.amos@europe.anglican.org.
If you have already done Module One, it will appear on the homepage of your account.
Participants are encouraged to study with others by joining a local group. But for those where that is not possible there is an online option via Zoom. You need to have registered to receive the Zoom link.
Dr Amos, who coordinated the development of the course, said helping to lead the first module was one of the most rewarding things that she had done in her role.
‘I was inspired by the thirst for learning and the desire for a deepened faith that was shown by the considerable number of people who joined us,’ she said, ‘and also by the way that it brought together people from several very different parts of the diocese. It felt very special. I am looking forward to working with them – and others too – as we explore Module Two.’
