Ministry pathway for young individuals across Europe in 2024
Are you or do you know someone intrigued by dedicating a year to working in a chaplaincy across continental Europe?
The diocese extends a warm invitation to young individuals looking to explore their calling to potential ministry within the Church of England.
The Ministry Experience Scheme (MES) provides a unique experience for young people to explore their vocation to ministry within the Church of England. Rooted in our diocesan strength of being an integral part of the Church of England while residing in continental Europe, MES offers a distinctive aspect to life and ministry.
MES grants young individuals, up to the age of 30, the chance to spend 10 transformative months (September – June) in one of our chaplaincies. This experience is enriched with intentional pastoral and educational support, coupled with opportunities to partake in various corporate residential gatherings, including a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Our dedicated diocesan vocational staff is there to guide and support their journey.
Approximately half of MES participants come from the United Kingdom, while the other half is already residents within the area covered by the Diocese in Europe.
