On Wednesday afternoon, 24 members and friends of the Costa Blanca Anglican chaplaincy gathered together at the finca of Hazel & Tony Layt in La Nucía. Tony was busy cooking paella while Hazel & helpers laid the tables, cut the bread and served pre-meal nibbles. The paella was full of luscious meat with large prawns and mussels served to those who wanted. A choice of three postres rounded the meal off beautifully. The total amount raised for the Church of England was €338 – a great afternoon together with a fun quiz. It was also really lovely to welcome the new Chaplain Fr Don and his wife Doreen to their first Albir fundraising event.
