16th June is very near the first anniversary of Bishop Geoffrey's death on Trinity Sunday 2017. Pusey House Oxford will be hosting an event to remember and celebrate his life. A Choral Requiem for his year's mind will be celebrated and the portrait of Bishop Geoffrey, painted shortly before his death by Alexander Debenham, will be received. It will hang in Pusey House.
Bishop Geoffrey, sometime Fellow, Chaplain and Tutor in Theology of Keble College and later Bishop of Gibraltar in Europe, was the longest serving member of the Governing Body at Pusey House, and was from 1996 to 2009 President of the Governors. The Revd Dr Jeremy Morris, Master of Trinity Hall, Cambridge, will speak about Bishop Geoffrey's work as a scholar and theologian, and two of his former chaplains will consider his ministry as Bishop in the Diocese in Europe. Please do attend if you are able.

13.00 Light lunch, during which Alexander Debenham's portrait of Bishop Geoffrey will be presented to Pusey House.
14.00 'Geoffrey Rowell: Historian and Theologian of Anglo-Catholicism' - The Revd Dr Jeremy Morris, Master of Trinity Hall, Cambridge (45 mins plus questions).
15.00 Tea.
15.20 'Geoffrey Rowell as Bishop of the Diocese in Europe' - The Revd Kevin O'Brien (Chaplain, 2006-10) and The Ven. Meurig Williams (Chaplain, 2011-13) (30 mins plus questions).
