Diocesan Synod election results 2024
Elections have now been completed for many of the representatives who will serve on the Diocesan Synod for the next three years. Members are elected for both the House of Clergy and the House of Laity.
Andrew Caspari, Diocesan Secretary said: ‘Thanks are due to everyone who took part in the elections and a very warm welcome to all the new members. The synod is an essential part of our diocesan life and the input of all members new and long serving is hugely valuable.’
We can now announce the results – please see results on our elections page.
There are some vacancies to be filled in the Houses of Clergy and Laity in France, The House of Laity in Gibraltar and the House of Clergy in Italy and Malta. The by-elections in these areas will take place before Christmas and details will be distributed and posted here on the website.
The new synod will meet in person for the first time in Cologne in June 2025 but there may be an online meeting earlier next year.
Please hold the new synod and its members in your prayers.
