Ordinations in Madrid and Ghent

Petertide ordinations take place on 2 July. Four candidates will be ordained in Ghent, and one in Madrid.
Mark Hafkenscheid, is to be ordained deacon. He is already the chaplain at Schiphol Airport, and now he will serve as assistant curate, St Mary, Rotterdam, one day per week. He says, “I like working with people and being part of their journey through life.”
Jonathan Halliwell will be ordained deacon, and will serve as assistant curate, St John and St Philip, The Hague. Speaking of his journey to ordination, Jonathan said, “ I’ve come to know God as a God of surprises and I hope to be able to offer others the kind of pastoral support I received along the way”
The Revd Sarah-Jane King will be ordained as priest, and will continue to serve as assistant curate at St Martha and St Mary, Leuven. Sarah-Jane has a passion for mission, ministry, and social justice.
The Revd Glen Ruffle is heading to Holy Trinity Geneva. He will be ordained as priest on Saturday. Glen looks forward to teaching the Bible and making it more accessible to people.
The above candidates will be ordained in Ghent by Bishop Robert, whilst Bishop David will be taking the ordination service in Madrid.
The Revd Solomon Uche Ike will be ordained priest, and will continue to serve as assistant curate, St George, in Madrid. Solomon says that the chaplaincy is ‘a magnet for the international community’, and looks forward to continuing in his ministry.
