The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, will be the speaker at an Advent prayer service for peace in Ukraine which is being hosted by the Diocese in Europe for the Church of England.

"I wonder as I wander" say the words of the carol which invites us on the journey to Jesus through Advent and Christmas.

The Archbishop of Canterbury and Bishop Robert arrived in Kyiv today for a three-day visit. The trip has been organised to show solidarity with the people and churches of Ukraine as they face ongoing Russian bombardment and a profoundly difficult winter.

The generosity of God – and inspiring and helping the Church to reflect it - are central to the vision which drives the diocese’s new Fundraising Adviser.
